You guys know I’m a sucker for the color red and any generic layering piece (cardigans, kimonos, dusters, etc.). When fall arrivals launched online and in-stores, I was so excited to see that long kimonos were everywhere! I don’t just love that they are comfortable – which they so are – but they’re versatile and effortless. A closet must-have in my opinion!
The temperature in Austin last weekend was absolutely gorgeous, so we spent the afternoon hopping around different wineries doing tastings with our friends in Driftwood, TX. This Crimson Kimono was a fabulous #ootd choice because it provided just enough coverage from the sun without getting too warm while we were sipping our vino.
Plus, my Cabernet and I matched! 🍷
The other great thing about long kimonos is you can style them so differently. I love the look of pairing a kimono with a tighter, body-con, type dress for a date night or even to go grab drinks with your girlfriends. There’s just something so playful about it that I’m immediately drawn to!
What are your thoughts on kimonos? Do you love them as much as I do? x
P.S. — If you’re a fan of my Crimson Kimono, just wait until you see it in the Olive color. Swoon!
