It’s the start of my favorite time of year! Not only am I anxiously awaiting cooler temperatures and all things fall to arrive in Austin, but Braden and I have been planning our 1 year anniversary trip to Vermont next month and let’s just say I’ve completely removed summer from the brain and am solely focused on fall. Eek! I’m sure I’m not the only one, either! ?
Since we unfortunately don’t get the “full fall experience” in Texas, I have very high hopes and expectations for Vermont! Bring on the fall foliage, pumpkin patches, chai lattes and maple syrup.

I’ve started putting my outfits together for the trip and since the temperatures won’t be too chilly while we’re there, I plan to swap out my boots for mules during the day to ensure I’m comfortable for our activities. Not only are mules extremely comfortable to wear (and you never have to worry about friction blisters), but they go with almost everything. When mules first launched last fall, I remember being a little uncertain on whether or not I could pull them off. I hesitantly snagged a tasseled cognac pair at the beginning of the season and instantly fell in love with them and probably wore them a few too many times!
