There’s just something about a winter wonderland getaway. No matter the month or season, you can always count on me to adventure to a snowy destination and enjoy every ounce of it. I’m sure it has something to do with bundling up and that warm cozy feeling that you get sitting around a fire, but whatever it is, I’m fully smitten by it.
Our first (and certainly not the last) trip to Montana was everything we could’ve hoped for and more. As you can tell from the photos, we were able to experience Montana with little to no snow on the ground as well as 12+ inches of snowfall. Since snow is a little foreign to me being born and raised in Austin, I was finally able to enjoy a real snow day from dawn til dusk, which of course included snowball fights, the creation of a precious little snowman and snow angels!
We rented the cutest cabin in Livingston (quick 30-minute drive from Bozeman) which had an indoor and outdoor fireplace that we put to great use throughout the entire trip. It honestly was the epitome of a winter vacation, you guys. We had no set agenda or itinerary, we just enjoyed the scenery and unplugged, which was much-needed during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
Have you visited Montana? If so, what season did you vacation in? I hear their spring is absolutely beautiful!
**p.s. — eat at Jam! for brunch if you are in Bozeman!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
