Whether you work in an office or work from home, finding your “workday essentials” is key to having a productive day. For some, it’s as simple as throwing their laptop in a bag and heading out the door, but for those like me, I ensure I not only have my laptop—but I also have snacks, coffee, water, a sparkling beverage of some sort (more on my current favorite bold flavor below!), chapstick, hand lotion, my planner, etc.—for my workday.
I assume some think I’m crazy, but I know a few of you are just like me and can appreciate this post! 😉
Since I work from home I’m fortunate enough to have most of my workday essentials right at my fingertips. This obviously is a major plus, but also can be tricky if you’re not careful. For example—rather than having a few healthy snacks at my workstation for when I get hungry, I could head to the kitchen and aimlessly snack for 30 minutes and lose track of time and derail my productivity. Instead of the latter, I opt for options that hold me accountable and keep me moving forward throughout the day rather than backwards.

I’ve included my top 5 workday essentials below and am curious to know what some of yours are. Please feel free to leave them in the comments below!
1. Planner
Having a hardbound planner is absolutely crucial for my productivity! I’ve always loved keeping a planner and found that when I don’t have one handy to jot down my thoughts or ideas in, I easily forget deadlines and important dates, which is no bueno.
2. Healthy Snacks
I like to snack in between meals and having healthy snacks around my workspace is so important. I usually snack on protein bars, nuts, or dried fruit throughout the day.
3. Water
I’ve found that when I have water readily in front of me, I’ll drink it all day long. I keep my tumbler on my workstation to ensure I’m drinking at least 100oz of water a day. Staying hydrated plays a major role in my overall health and skin and I love the way I feel when I reach my 100oz a day goal.
4. To-Do List
Similar to the planner, I have to keep a to-do list. Whether it’s 3 bullets long or 10 bullets long, it helps me prioritize my day and reach my goals.
5. Bai Bubbles

I need a planner too! I write in pencil so I can change things-because you know how fast things change! I haven’t tried Bai before, I will have to check it out, it sounds amazing!
