SPRING CLEANING 101

May 9, 2019 By Kari 4 Comments

Thank you to Art of Green™ for sponsoring today’s post! As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Learn more here.

Spring Cleaning 101

Temperatures are rising, birds are chirping, and views of beautiful bluebonnets only means one thing in Texas: Spring is here! I love the feeling of a new season; it’s a perfect time to refresh and reset for the months ahead.

Spring Cleaning 101

To start the season off on a positive note, I always prioritize a deep clean to restore the beauty in our home that can sometimes get neglected through the hustle and bustle of our busy schedules. If you’ve been around for a while, then you know I’m an advocate of organization and simplifying spaces. So it’s probably no surprise that I love a good spring cleaning session.

This year, I was introduced to Art of Green™ cleaning products which are 98% naturally derived formulas that are non-toxic and made with essential oils. Having non-toxic products in the house is just as important to me as having a clean house, so I was thrilled when I tried out their Lavender Eucalyptus Line (smells so good!). I now always have the Multisurface Spray, Cleaning Wipes, and Concentrated Multisurface Cleaner on hand for chores around the house.

It’s no secret that cleaning the entire house can feel overwhelming. To make it more digestible, I typically like to work in sections so I can dedicate all of my energy to one space. This year, I focused on 5 areas of the house and loved the end result.

1. Clean Out Closet

2. Kitchen (Including Refrigerator)

3. Ceiling Fans and Air Vents

4. Hardware and Door Knobs

5. Windows, Blinds, Baseboards

As you probably noticed, my spring cleaning list focuses on the smaller minute details that can get overlooked rather than the normal day-to-day household chores. Yes, it’s tedious and time-consuming—but it’s so worth it in the end. Especially knowing that you’ve cleaned your house with products free of parabens and toxins with Art of Green™.

What do you focus on when cleaning your house for spring? Anything I missed? Let me know in the comments below!
