A few weeks ago, Braden and I snuck out of Austin and headed to Dallas to celebrate Braden’s 30th birthday! We had the best celebratory weekend getaway courtesy of Hotel Crescent Court.
We had been wanting to plan a special staycation for the two of us for quite sometime, so we were extra excited to spend some quality time together at such a beautiful hotel!
With Dallas only being a quick 3 hour drive from Austin, we were able to check in to our room and enjoy a leisurely Friday afternoon before our dinner reservations at The Crescent Club. The restaurant is located on the 17th floor of the Crescent Complex’s central office tower and is reminiscent of a classic 19th-century private club. It has stunning hardwood floors, deep wood paneling, and rich carpets that takes you back in time. Alongside of the stunning interiors, the views of the Dallas skyline are breathtaking!
We shared a bottle of red wine and both ordered the Grilled Beef Filet Mignon with horseradish whipped potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and mushroom ragout. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were unbelievably tasty! It was such an ideal night to start off our weekend getaway.
The following morning, we each had a 50 minute Crescent Signature Massage scheduled. Due to the current state of the pandemic, our temperatures were taken once we arrived and face masks were required throughout our services. That being said, the entire experience felt very safe and very comfortable.
Each of our 50 minute massages were spectacular and just the thing we were looking for after a long work week. Braden still raves about his massage to this day saying it was the best one he’s ever received! Once our massages ended, we spent an additional hour or so sitting in the whirlpool and enjoying the complimentary steam room and sauna.
In addition to massages, the Spa offers facials, body treatments and nail services.
See their full treatment menu here.
Saturday afternoon we explored Uptown for a few hours and then drove to our favorite sushi restaurant in Plano [Densetsu] and drove past our first home together which was very nostalgic and fun!
After our quick walk down memory lane, we headed back to the hotel and enjoyed a nightcap in their lobby bar, Beau Nash.
Beau Nash offers an extensive drink collection with an array of premium wines by the glass. I opted for my favorite, a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, and Braden enjoyed a classic Old Fashion. The bar was charming, warm, and inviting — I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing cocktail spot in Dallas. They also offer lite bites!
Once we finished our drinks, we headed to our room to enjoy our last night of our weekend getaway. We cozied up in our plush & luxurious bed and ended the night with a movie. It was so refreshing to take a break from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a weekend to ourselves! Plus, we were able to ring in Braden’s 30th birthday which was so special and memorable.
All of that to say, we absolutely adored staying at Hotel Crescent Court and will definitely be back! The staff was friendly, the rooms were immaculate, and the food & drinks were delicious.
In addition to the restaurants and activities I’ve listed above, the hotel offers a handful of different dining options, wellness offerings, and hosts special events like weddings or meetings.
