Concealing the under-eye is one of my favorite steps in the makeup routine. If done correctly, you can truly bring a radiant glow to the face in just a few quick steps!
My current and favorite way of concealing the under-eye is using the “triangle method”. The triangle method consists of applying the concealer starting at the corner of the eye, down the side of the nose and then upwards to the outer area of the eye, making a triangle shape. After filling in the triangle, I blend out the product using a damp Beauty Blender. I highly recommend using a Beauty Blender during this step to ensure any excess product is soaked up and is evenly distributed. Using the triangle method may seem like more makeup than you’re used to, but I promise it will truly brighten up the face and make your skin look more youthful and highlighted.
After applying your concealer, always always always set it with a translucent powder. This powder is my current obsession and will guarantee a fresh face all day long with no creasing whatsoever. This step is absolutely crucial and should not be overlooked. Simply take a fluffy tapered brush, dip it into your translucent powder, dab off the excess and pat the product under the eyes. Be sure to pat the powder rather than drag to ensure your concealer doesn’t move and is set in place.
While this is my personal favorite technique, I would definitely love to hear your favorite way of applying under-eye concealer in the comments below.

Have you ever tried Benefit Fake Up? It’s their under-eye concealer and I’m obsessed with it. It has a layer of moisturizer surrounding the concealer so it never gets flaky. I’ll have to try the ones you suggested though – I’m an Urban Decay Naked fiend so I’m sure I’ll love that one! 🙂

Thanks for the tips! The one time I bought concealer and tried to use it I looked like a raccoon, like not with black circles but with yellowish-white circles, it was a disaster.

I was not a fan of the Tarte concealer but I have heard great things about the NARS and MAC ones. I try to correct the under eye and then conceal, then of course set! Setting is the most important part if you ask me! I also love the triangle method!!!

I need more under eye concealer. I think I’ll try the tarte concealer first. Thanks for the suggestions. It saves me from a potential waste.

I use the Tarte concealer now but I am intrigued to try the Nars concealer. I also bake/set my under eye concealer with translucent powder which keeps it from creasing! Great tips!
